In the stillness of 2020’s global lockdown, The Label Gaia found its roots. As the world paused, our founder Gurpreet, an interior designer with a passion for sustainable living, witnessed nature’s resilience in Mumbai’s clearer skies and quieter streets. This moment of clarity sparked a question: How could we maintain this harmony between human activity and our planet?
Driven by her love for fashion and commitment to sustainability, Gurpreet embarked on a journey to bridge a gap she’d long observed – the absence of truly sustainable, yet stylish clothing. The Label Gaia was born from this vision, marrying eco-conscious practices with design that refuses to compromise on style.
Our approach is as unique as our garments. We keep our fabrics in-house, crafting each piece by hand only when ordered. This zero-waste model eliminates overstock, reduces waste, and allows us to pour attention and care into every stitch. From office-ready attire to picnic-perfect outfits, our versatile designs are created to be cherished, not discarded.
